Just got this from Chris's cousin concerning his baby:
The genetic results came back. They confirmed he has EI. This kind that he has, he will grow out of it. He will have less blistering and his skin will get stronger. He may get some thickening on his hands and feet or even on his joints, but there are medicated ointments we can get him to make him more comfortable. His skin will be thick, but not scaly like some other types out there. This is 100% the best case scenario for his condition. Prayers answered.
Normally this gene that Arthur has (KRT1 gene) is inherited, but both Michael and I don't carry it. There is a less than 1% chance this can happen again.
For Arthur in the far future if he were to have kids it'd be a 50% chance. However with IVF, they can remove the variant.
Praises!
