Goodbye for Now
As this week of Thanksgiving draws to a close, so too will our devotional page. Beginning back in 2020 as a way to stay connected and be an encouragement and comfort to our church this page was begun. As I write this today, some 900+ devotions have been posted; however in recent months the readership has dropped. Perhaps, the season in which God had us start this project has passed. Perhaps He is waiting to open another door for us. What we do know is that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours (Isa. 55:8-9) But He knows the plans He has for each of us (Jer. 29:11) we simply must trust His plan.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for your comments or “likes” for the devotions over these last 4 years. You will never know how much that uplifting and encouraging meant to me.
May God bless you all.
Lucy
All Good Things…
All the way back to early 2021, I was asked to contribute to these devotions. Even after writing thousands of lesson plans, I never ever considered myself a writer. I was given a voice. I was given an opportunity to tell stories that impacted my life and how God had taught me life lessons about himself and mine. I was given a voice. Y’all this has probably been one of my greatest adventures and accomplishments in my life. 180+ devotions over almost 3 years was a time and task that I needed and didn’t even know it. But God did. I was given a voice. I discovered so MUCH about myself through the process. I was given a voice, and I found 3 other writers that I love calling friend. I am truly thankful for being given the opportunity to write with 3 others who love Jesus as much or more than I do. I am truly thankful for the opportunity and for all of the support from our dedicated followers. I pray that you get to read and reread and enjoy them time and time again. Feel free to share them. I am thankful to those whose took time to leave comments or likes. I won’t stop writing for myself, but I am going to pray that everyone reads God’s word and thinks about their own future. May this Thanksgiving be family, food, and fun with God firmly in the center. Don’t lose your own voice. God put us here for such a time as this.
Sara
